Handling Games: One Jump and Beyond

Instructor Tracy Sklenar will use a series of motivational games to teach the important handling skills needed to build understanding of the handler’s body language and handling cues. Each handling cue will have 3 progressive levels for maximum understanding: flatwork, one jump games, and multi-jump games. And… it is FUN!

These games can then be applied to any handling system you choose or develop for yourself – it all comes back to understanding!

You will be able to watch demo videos of the instructor’s dogs, as well as get feedback on your work with your own dog through video and forum discussions. This is an amazing opportunity for young dogs (8 months and older) or any dog in need of better of understanding of handling!

Class begins on March 25th. Click here for more info!

Raise your game in any sport...with amazing stays!

Want to Stay, Ready to GO!

How to Train and Maintain Focused, Reliable and Driven “Stay” Behaviors for Agility, Obedience, Rally and more!

Stay behaviors are crucial in dog sports… and life! In agility, a solid, driven stay can really help us build speed and focus in our canine partners, while allowing us to get ahead to show them where to go on course. Plus, stays are important elements of contacts and tables! In obedience and Rally, a stay is a required behavior in a variety of exercises at every level! And, in everyday life, a stay is an important life skill to help the dog be a great pet and companion.

This class features a variety of positive games designed to train amazing, reliable stays and driven, focused releases for agility, obedience and rally (long sits and downs, drop on recall, stays for driven recalls and any obedience and rally exercises). We will also be problem solving and trouble shooting for dogs and handlers who are struggling with stays.
