Course Description

Proofing 101: Making the Choice for Success in the Ring :: Tracy Sklenar

Is your dog perfect at home... but out of control in the ring? Are your dog’s behaviors great in class but non-existent in the trial ring? Get rid of ‘ring wise’ and get ready for positive, fun solutions to bridge the gap from training to trialing!

Proofing is a necessary part of training for every level, from young dogs to experienced dogs, to help transfer the skills into different environments. Simply being able to execute behaviors at home or in class is often not often for success in the trial ring.

In this intensive 4-week class, we will teach you how to get your dog to execute in trials the same way he executes at home or in class! We will cover all aspects of ‘proofing’ a variety of behaviors, including contacts, weaves, table, stays, focus and more while developing a training plan for each individual dog.
