Course Description

Learn Your Dog CAMP: Course Analysis for Maximum Performance (2016) :: Tracy Sklenar

Raise your game with the 2016 edition of CAMP! We will focus on timing, connection and teamwork while building your handling toolbox to be able to master any challenge! Participants will receive weekly sequences, skill builders and mental prep games, plus we will review trial runs to help maximize your teamwork at every level.

Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in course challenges while fine tuning your handling! This course is designed to take your handling to the next level by applying it to the challenges we see every weekend on course in AKC, USDAA and UKI, as well as the newer challenges that are becoming increasingly popular. You will practice reading lines, analyzing courses, and choosing the best options for you and your dogs to master on-course challenges, minimize errors and run clear rounds with regularity. You will learn to handle with confidence and run with intent to bring out the best in your partnership with your dog! We will incorporate international handling tools to help master our North American challenges.

The class will provide course work featuring common challenges as well as new trends in course design. Students will practice a variety of handling tools in order to choose the best options when presented with challenges in competition – this will include getting better connection, timing, crosses, turns, making the best choices for you and your dog, and strengthening any weak areas in your handling tool box.

Also, each working participant will be able to submit trial runs, to get feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improvement!
