Push your skills past the Masters level while staying ahead of the dog on course - and simplifying your handling! Are you ready to raise your game and explore how to get ahead and stay ahead of your fast dog on course? In this edition of Master the Challenge, we will explore ways to master ANY challenge on difficult international-style courses that will make every course easier to run! And you can do it with simple, easy-to-use handling cues that allow you to keep moving forward.

Raise your game to the next level by learning the techniques that will help you get ahead and stay ahead on even the most difficult international challenges! You will learn to attack each course with your handling while also cuing terrific turns. This class focuses on the needs of each team and will expand your handling toolbox, improve your connection & timing, and take your course analysis skills “outside the box” - while also improving your dog’s commitment to obstacles and lines.

Course Structure:

  • Written assignments with video demonstration for skill sets. Working participants may video their homework and post in the forum for discussion and feedback from the instructor. Auditors and working students may participate in forum discussions. This is a 7 week course with 3 new courses/sequences and a skill set introduced each week and one week off in the middle.

Equipment needed:

  • (working participants only): 8 jumps, 2 tunnels (contacts & weaves suggested but optional)

Space needed:

  • 80x80 area or larger

Course Participation & Tuition Levels

Type of participation:

  • Working (posts responses to written assignments, posts videos of sequences, gets instructor feedback to all of these as well as answers to any questions posted, can actively participate in forum, chat and office) Limit: Unlimited
  • Auditing (can view and read all videos/assignments/posts from instructor and working students, will get instructor answers to course-specific questions posted, can actively participate in class forum, chat and office hours) Limit: Unlimited
  • Observing (can view and read all videos/assignments/posts from instructor and working students in documents, links, forum and chat but do not participate in class forum, chat and office hours other than to read instructor, worker and auditor posts). Limit: Unlimited
